There are certainly men, many men, who can separate fiction from reality. It doesn't need every single woman to be huge breasted in the skimpiest clothing possible to retain its identity. I'll buy it either way, but, the more people who can enjoy something without eliminating said thing's core identity, the better I feel. I'd quite like it to be taken as a legitimate game and not just fap fuel. SCIV and the ridiculous bonus costumes in that F2P SC are the height of objectification in this series, and many judge the series as a whole as just as bad as DoA because of it. I've been a fan of this series for a while and it'd be great if lots of people could love it too. Thus, my main concern is in having more people being able to enjoy this game. What is true though is simply that many people are discomforted by several of the designs. I don't know if that's true or not, or if it's a result of society's general disregard for women seeping into the hobby. Similarly, one cannot ignore the dismissive nature many men have to the concerns of women in the gaming community at large, and cannot help but wonder if the designs of female characters are at all an influence. Never forget that until Jaws came out that people largely left sharks alone- but in the following years became dedicated to eradicating them.
But do understand that fiction both reflects and influences society in many ways. I myself enjoy several fanservicey designs. Click to shrink. There are certainly men, many men, who can separate fiction from reality.
